THE EVOLUTION OF BUSINESS

- The dictionary defines it as "a gradual process in which
something changes into a different and usually more complex or
better form." For me, evolution has involved gaining new
skills over the years, and adapting this knowledge to the needs of
different organizations.
One of the major areas for my growth has been in the use of technology to drive businesses forward. I have been involved in various technology implementations starting from the initial requirement gathering phase to the final implementation and “go live.”
Training has also been a critical component of my professional career. Whether it is learning new skills to improve myself, or designing and implementing training programs for other employees, training has always been an integral part of my professional life.
Another area where I have grown professionally over the years is in sales. We are all sales people, every single one of us. The moment we get out of bed and step out the door, we are influencing what people think about, and also how they view us. For that reason, we are all sales people.
Many people do not think of sales as a discipline that can taught or learned. I beg to differ. For me, sales has definitely been an evolving process. One of the best ways I learned to become a better sales person was by making mistakes and learning from them. No one can have a 100% close rate; however, everyone can learn to become a better sales professional by examining not only what is working well for them, but also what has caused them challenges. For me, the key to sales has been in helping to solve people's problems, and providing concrete solutions to make their lives better.
Although times change, and organizations have different needs, my core principles have remained constant and consistent. These principles include hard work, dedication to improvement, and genuine passion for helping people grow and be more successful. This website was designed to explore some of the different principles and areas of strength that I bring to my projects.
