USING technology TO improve people's lives
techˇnolˇoˇgy - Technology has been a very important part of my professional career. All of my positions have dealt with technology. What excites me the most about it, is in seeing how technology has such a huge impact in helping organizations streamline operations and communicate more effectively.
The following section highlights some of the different applications that I have utilized.

I have used the Microsoft Suite of applications over my entire professional career spanning over 10 years. I enjoy using their products because they have allowed me to create standardized manuals, engaging presentations, and powerful spreadsheets.
TOOLS USED TO DESIGN TRAINING MATERIALS
ARTICULATE STUDIO
The
Articulate Studio consists of Articulate Presenter, Articulate
Quizmaker, and Articulate Engage. I utilized all of their
products to quickly create e-learning courses and content, as well
as quizzes, other assessments.
CAMTASIA STUDIO
I
used Camtasia to develop screen captures from online webinars.
I then posted these webinars on the Sales training website that I
maintained.
PRIMARY TOOLS USED IN WEB DEVELOPMENT
MICROSOFT EXPRESSION
This
has been a great tool that has allowed me to create a training
website at CoStar Group. I also used it to design this
website.
I really like the tool because it is easy to use and also gives you the flexibility of creating things in design mode, coding, or better yet a combination of the two. I have used other less expensive tools in the past, but like this one the best so far.
ADOBE FLASH
I
used Flash when it was still owned by Macromedia. Adobe acquired
Macromedia so it is now
Adobe Flash.
Flash is fun because you can create interesting graphics and
movies.
COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE APPLICATIONS
COSTAR SUITE
While
at CoStar I had the pleasure of using some of the top applications
available for the commercial real estate industry. I became
an expert in CoStar's flagship product, Property Professional.
Property Professional is a great tool because it is highly robust
and also includes strong reporting and analytic tools.
In addition to Property Professional, I also became an expert in CoStar's other applications including COMPS Professional, Showcase, and Connect.
SUPPLY CHAIN APPLICATIONS
MARC SYSTEMS & MCHUGH SOFTWARE
I
have used warehouse management systems from both MARC Systems and
McHugh Software. McHugh was renamed
Red Prairie. They
also acquired all of MARC System's assets.
- Configured the software to meet the needs of different businesses
- Completed comprehensive testing plans of both the software configuration and interfaces to other systems
- Designed and implemented training programs in support of software projects
- Designed supporting functional documentation
MEDICAL SOFTWARE
MORRISEY ASSOCIATES
Utilized
Morrisey's suite of credentialing applications while conducting
product demonstrations and trainings.
